Luxor is not far from Hurghada, hence, you should “sacrifice” one or two days of your beach vacation to have a look at something what you will not forget again. The Valley of the Kings and the Temples of Karnak are still incredibly well-preserved due to the dry climate. Partially one still recognises the colours of the inscriptions, although those are already thousand of years old !
How can one lie in good conscience on the beach, only a few hundred kilometres away from such a miracle?

Book with us an excursion in a mini-tour group (2-6 people)!
No sales events take place, so that you spend your time only with the places of interest in Luxor!

Tour description Hurghada-Luxor 2 days:

At 5.00 o’clock in the morning you are fetched at your hotel in and around the city of Hurghada and go in about 4 hours with a break to Luxor. Your English-speaking tour guide waits there already for you. We recommend to you the following programme:

Visit first the Karnak Temple. It is the biggest temple of the world with a gigantic column hall which has 134 metre-high columns. The columns are still so well-preserved that you can recognise the old inscriptions! With your tour guide you explore the temple arrangements and can take the time that you need. After the sightseeing of the Karnak Temple you eat a tasty Egyptian lunch in a restaurant at the Nile.
Then you should rest a little and let the present impressions sink a little bit in your mind. Check in at the hotel and come along freshly for the evening.

In the evening you are fetched after your individual dinner to the Sound and Lightshow in Karnak Temple. Run with the show by the Karnak Temple. Different areas are illuminated and the life of the Pharaohs from the I-perspective is told over loudspeaker. You cannot experience history in a better way! After the Sound and Lightshow your driver drives you back to the hotel or to the city of Luxor-completely as you desire!
The next day you are fetched at about 9.00 o’clock at the hotel. You go on the western bank side of the Nile. Visit the legendary Valley of the Kings with the marvellous grave paintings which are really like original due to the very dry climate in this area. We would recommend to visit the Temple of Hatshepsut afterwards, but you decide with your tour guide how you create your day. For example, you can have a look at the Temple of Hatshepsut only from the outside and can get explained, why it stands exactly where it stands. Then you still have time to visit the colosses of Memnon or see the Luxor Temple. Or what about the Valley of the Queens as an alternative? However you decide, your private tour guide arranges with pleasure the plan of your excursion as interest-oriented as possible for you!

You should visit Luxor if you make a vacation in Egypt. The ones who are interested more or less in culture, simply must visit Luxor. The historical sites are still very well-preserved, so that one sees not only a few stones and has to add the missing parts in his mind. No, it is not really difficult to imagine how everything looked before thousands of years in the original. Imposing constructions at a time built when there was even no electricity.

If you book with us, experience Luxor privately in a small group of 2-6 people!

No sales events take place, so that you have more time for the places of interest!

Tourdescription Hurghada-Luxor 1 day trip:

Luxor is located only 4 driving hours from Hurghada. According to the group size you travel in a comfortable car or in a clean, air-conditioned microcoach. Chilled soft drinks are available to you all the journey Hurghada-Luxor and back free of charge. At 5.00 o’clock you are fetched at your hotel in the area of Hurghada and you can make a break, whenever you would like to. About 9.00 o’clock you reach Luxor. Your perfectly English speaking tour guide already awaits you there. First of all you visit the famous Karnak Temple.
You visit with your tour guide this temple with nothing but aggregations in God’s presentations which originated in no less than two millenniums. Pester your tour guide with questions and remain as long as you like!

A lot of culture makes hungry and thus a tasty Egyptian lunch is the next point on the program.

After lunch you go with a motorboat across the rive Nile to the other side and then by microcoach to the “Valley of the kings” . As the dead person’s rest should be undisturbed, the old Egyptians tried to protect their graves against grave robbers. After the more than 500-year-old history of the pyramids a king had the idea to hide his grave in the mountains. Many followed him, nevertheless, unfortunately, it has helped nothing. The robbers found the graves.

After the sightseeing of the “Valley of the Kings” you can visit the Hatshepsut temple and can get the explanation from your tour guide, why it is located exactly where it stands. You will be astonished, in which dimensions the people already thought at that time!
In the area of Luxor alabaster stone is diminished. If requested you can visit with pleasure an alabaster factory and find out more about dismantling and processing of this stone.
The return journey to Hurghada is planned at about 18.00 o’clock, so that you are at 22.00 o’clock with miraculous impressions and a lot of new historical knowledge back at your hotel.

The people who know Cairo say, one would have to find time at least 4 days to get to know this town cursorily.
Well, your beach vacation should not get too briefly, hence, you have with us the possibility to book shorter excursions to the African metropolis.
But still we must say that we recommend an excursion of 2 days. Not for exploring the city two days only, but by this you experience the night in Cairo. At night the metropolis Cairo looks completely different. It shines in an infinite light, gleaming and glistening neon signs promote an Egyptian movie or western pleasure like Coca Cola. The town becomes simply candy-coloured.
Many big hotels are the centre of the high social life and invite in modern clubs to belly dancing shows with superstars. In noble bars and discos the children of the rich drink gin and cocktails and honour the MTV culture which finds its way thanks to TV satellite to them.
And if you look then at the Nile, you find it full from illuminated and brightly decorated holiday boats, which make their round turns. Couples stroll in the mild night air along the Nile promenade, children romp till late night on the streets and everything works like a gigantic fair.
The liveliness of the night seems to make the worries and the oppressive heat of the day forgotten.
Probably it is exactly the night which makes Cairo so charming!

The experienced driver drives you safely and pleasantly through the desert and you should sleep a little, because the day becomes long and at night you see anyhow nothing.
The drive from Hurghada to Cairo lasts with break about 6 hours.
At about 9.00 o’clock you are in Cairo. At the Egyptian museum your tour guide already waits for you. He will accompany you all the time and show you “his” town. You visit the Egyptian museum with him and he will answer to you all questions.
Then you will be hungry and thus there is at first a tasty Egyptian lunch. Then you visit the alabaster mosque which is known as the most beautiful mosque of the world.

Then it further continues to the biggest bazaar of the Arabian world for the Khan-El-Khalili-Bazar, here all social and religious layers meet and you still find real craft.
For the bazaar about 1 hour is included in the plan (longer time if requested), then you go to your hotel, depending on what you have booked, a 4*-hotel or 5*-hotel.
After the check in you have some time to rest and to make yourself smartly for the night in Cairo.
You have the evening in Cairo at free possession. Against a surcharge you can book the sound show and light show in the pyramids or enjoy a tasty buffet and a dance show on a holiday ship on the Nile.
The next morning you are fetched at 9.00 o’clock at the hotel and you go on direct way to the pyramids and the Sphynx. In approximately 3 hours you have enough time to watch the pyramids. Then you go onto direction of Sakkara, there is again a tasty lunch for you and afterwards you can visit the step pyramid of Sakkara.
About 16.00 o’clock it is a time to leave the city of Cairo and to set off in the direction of Hurghada. Possibly at 22.00 o’clock you are back at your hotel and can say that you have seen one of the 7 Wonders of the World.

Cairo is the town richest in population of Egypt. And this becomes conscious if one visits this town. It simply never sleeps, not in the heat of the day and surely not in the coolness of the night.
Cairo is a town of full contrasts. Arm and richly, moulder and traditionally, cultivated and moloch.
What is the nicest, nevertheless: Cairo has the pyramids and the unique Egyptian museum. Who is interested not only in the varied townscape, but in his life once and really before the sagenumwobenen pyramids stand will-der must simply rise once to his beach couch and go to Cairo!

Experience Cairo in a small tour group of only 2-6 people!

Make an excursion to Cairo privately with a perfectly in German speaking tour guide who is there only for you!

Description of the tour to Cairo:

At 3.00 o’clock in the morning you are fetched at your hotel in Hurghada or surroundings and travel in an air-conditioned microcoach without convoy to Cairo. The journey time amounts about 5 hours. In half of the distance there is a motorway service, where you can make a break. For people who prefer the beach, Egypt has fine sandy beaches, gently declining sea, cultivated hotel resorts and a phantastic underwater world for diving and snorkeling. The one who is looking for a culture holiday can feel comfortable in Egypt as well. You can see the pyramids or thousand of years old temples e.g. in Luxor.

Furthermore, Egypt has a climate for everybody. People who like the burning heat should come in summer, in winter Egypt has moderate temperatures; maybe not for the beach, but for seeing cultural highlights.

The most perfect is to devide the holiday in two parts: beach holiday and cultural event.
Make holiday in Hurghada at the Red Sea and start your trips to cultural highlights from there. So your holiday will never get boring!

Make a trip to the wonderful White Desert of Egypt. Stay 2 nights there and discover the unique landscape and the terrific formations of chalk stone.

Who would like to take a trip which he will remember forever and wants to experience a nature which cannot be nicer and more dreamlike should make an excursion to the White Desert of Egypt.
The White Desert is located in the center of Egypt and far away from border areas which can be dangerous for tourists sometimes.
The White Desert in Egypt is a nature reserve, the scenery a true phenomenon of weather-beaten, surreally seeming rock formations which are especially impressive with sunrise and sunset.
The nicest opportunity to discover this scenery is a camping safari on which you spend day and night in the desert while watching this unique nature scenery.
The enchanting contours of the White Desert were created by a pretemporal ocean. The scenery excels all deserts which you have seen up to now. It reminds of a snowy scenery and conveys to you unforgettable impressions.
From the camel one can admire the fantastic forms which are a result of one annual million continuing erosion of the chalk by wind and sand.

Departure is at 7.00 o’clock in the direction of Bahariya Oasis, approx. 350 km far. About midday is the arrival, and at first there is an authentic Egyptian lunch. Then one visits the oasis with the grave of Bannantiu which still shows well-preserved paintings. Afterwards you can take a look at the temple from the time of Alexander the Great, a great temple with wonderful reliefs which are still well-preserved. From the mountain Englis one has a wonderful view about the whole oasis. Then you can watch the mineral springs with hot sulphur water (40 degrees).
After the sightseeing we enter farther 130 km in the White Desert. Shortly before sunset we reach our destination. A small bedouin’s village where the camel drivers wait for us already and we experience on the back of the camel the sunset. A true spectacle of nature.
Then dinner is cooked and a campfire is kindled. With tea, coffee and a water whistle we experience the silence of the night and enjoy the romantic atmosphere and the black sky with its hundreds of stars which can be seen clearly particularly here. In evenings without moon one can admire even the Milky Way, while shooting stars light up the sky.
This evening you will never forget again!
At 7 o’clock on the next morning, it is time for breakfast and then we continue our journey on a camel. We explore the wonderful forms of the White Desert up to the afternoon, besides, one also experiences surreal formations like pigeons, camels or a mushroom of wild stone.
In the shade of an acacia we will have lunch and take a small break. Then we ride to the sun set. A wonderful evening is waiting for us in the beam of the light of a campfire
The next morning after the breakfast we are picked up from our jeep and will go with our new miraculous impressions back to Cairo.

The city of Karnak Temple is perhaps the largest religious complex in the world. Here were the gods Amun, Mut and Chon, the thebanische Triad, revered. About 2000 years has been to this temple complex was built, demolished and re-build from scratch. Probably no visitor can the grandeur and beauty of this temple complex escape. The greatest Egyptian pharaohs have left their mark, and even lesser-known rulers have their contribution
As soon as you enter the temple through the first pylon is the view of a single standing column with a height of 21 meters. Once there were 10 of these giant columns, built by Pharaoh Taharqa. But violence is still the great columned hall, built by Sethos I. and Ramses the Great. 134 columns are one of the greatest monuments of human history.
And further ranks pylon to pylon, ten, there were a whole. Intermediate obelisks, statues and shrines, the Holy See and of reliefs covered walls. It is, however, that all these buildings to the gods and the priests were reserved. The people had no access to the temple and got the picture only the gods during the annual processions to be seen.

Ancient Egyptian murals report from the once lush vegetation of the country. Nowadays, the country has trouble to feed its over 63 million inhabitants. Therefore the country focuses on the cultivation of crops. Meadows and forests are almost not existing, sometimes you can see palm groves. Often you can see eucalyptus trees and prickly pears. The sparse tree vegetation consists of yellow Nile acacia, found in near shore, moreover you can find also tamarisks and flame trees. In the subtropical climate fruit thrives very well: mangoes, figs, oranges and peaches taste as good here, as we are never able to experience at home. Likewise, vegetables and cereals, like millet and rice are cultivated. A popular supplement for meals is therefore rice. Potatoes are also grown, but you can find them more in our supermarkets in spring time than on the plates of Egyptians.
From Sinai to the Mediterranean Sea the view is characterized by barren steppes and scrub-shrub vegetation. In the Nile valley, you can find jasmine (it smells very good and if you have these on a chain offered for sale, necessarily-buy!), Oleander, bougainvillea, hibiscus (resulting in the tea “Karkadeh”) and bamboo.

Egypt has a dry climate. Overall, it rains in this country very little. Only the northern coastal city of Alexandria and the Nile Delta, where the city of Cairo is located, are Mediterranean-influenced, and in the winter months (November-February), it rains from time to time. In the South of the city Cairo, it rains very rarely. The winter temperatures in January is between 20-24 degrees Celsius, while at night it cools down strong (there are temperatures to 0 degrees Celsius possible). In July it is the hottest time of the year. Daytime temperatures of 31-41 degrees Celsius are possible. But beware! The big heat is well to endure by the low humidity and not comparable to 40 degrees Celsius in central Europe! The weather in Hurghada on the Red Sea is generally the mid of mentioned above. In summer the temperatures reach an average of 35 degrees Celsius, in the winter months (November to February) it will be at night not below 10 degrees Celsius.
